Prof. YE Jun-Atomic clock and quantum physics
Nov. 29th 16:00
HFNL Building, 3rd floor West Lecture Hall
Speaker Prof. YE Jun is a Chinese-American physicist at JILA, National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the University of Colorado at Boulder, working primarily in the field of atomic, molecular and optical physics. His group has built an optical atomic clock having a frequency uncertainty of 2.1 × 10−18.This is the equivalent of a variation of less one second than in 15 billion years. He has received numerous awards in the field of science, particularly AMO physics, and was elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society and a Fellow of the Optical Society of America.
