Residence Permit Update After Changing Your Passport
After changing your work permit due to a new passport, you generally need to apply for a new residence permit within 10 days so that the residence permit can be issued in your new passport.
Under current policies, you may enter China with both your old and new passports, provided that key personal information, such as your name and date of birth, is identical in both passports.
